Played by: Bernard Robichaud Cyrus's Crew: Dennis Terry
About Cyrus:
The one and only Cyrus made his first appearance Season 1 Episode 1. The arch-enemy of Ricky and Julian, Cyrus is quite the bad mother-fucker. Not scared to stick a gun in your face, put his finger on the trigger,
and make it say "click", Cyrus has a sweet red 1977 Corvette, which takes a little bit of a beating, namely some creative black spray paint graffiti. Any time Cyrus is seen in his car, you always here him blasting his signature song called "I'm Old (You're Young)" by Rick Jeffery.
Cyrus has his hands in everything from extortion of Sunnyvale Trailer Park residents to moving large amounts of hash with Terry and Dennis. Randy and Lahey actually seem a little bit scared of Cyrus as does the rest of the park, but Julian and Ricky will throw down with him when they have to, which seems to be just about every time they meet! Cyrus will be in the upcoming 1 hour special and the new movie coming out in 2009.
About Bernard Robichaud:
Actor and writer Bernard Robichaud was born in Boston and now resides in Canada. He grew up playing hockey and basketball and is now avid golfer. He started his career as a model when he was 18 and enjoyed that for the 3 years until 1981 when he met an agent in Toronto, Ont. who told him he was missing his calling and he should consider becoming an actor. On that advice he applied and was accepted to Dalhousie University in 1982 and studied in their Theatre Arts program. Soon afterward his voice coach Dorothy Ward (Stratford Festival, George Brown University) suggested he was wasting his time because of his natural ability to perform and offered her time and private tutelage which he took over the next 4 years. She was instrumental in getting him a position at Neptune Theatre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, as a production assistant, working closely with award winning director Tom Kerr.
In 1984 he was hired by Mr. Sudsy Clarke, do be the voices in “In Becky’s Name”, a CBC radio drama playing both the roles of Robert and Becky. Mr. Clarke and Award winning playwright Kent Stetson wrote to ACTRA on behalf of Bernard believing that anyone who could play a man and women on radio in their first professional performance deserved to be given their professional status. He wrote his play Kitchen Sports in 1995, which portrays his life at home with his alcoholic father and was received with rave reviews.
Spanning a career of 25 years Bernard has had numerous television and film credits and has worked with such Hollywood icons as James Caan and Kathy Bates. His most recent credits include the Trailer Park Boys 2008 Special and the Trailer Park Boys new feature film which will be in theatres fall 2009 playing the recurring role of Cyrus, and a supporting role in the new movie. Bernard is the only American on the Gemini Award winning show. Look for Bernard in Blue Seduction, with Billy Zane and Estella Warren where he plays the role of Stanley Miles, Zane’s close personal friend.
